April 2020 was the height of the Covid-19 epidemic in New York, so far. Every day, 4,000-7,000 New Yorkers contracted Covid-19. Every day, hundreds of New Yorkers died. NYC Health statistics can be found here.
Healthcare workers risked their lives, while New York politicians failed them and the city. At Kingsbrook Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, held a rally demanding the bare minimum, PPE so they could could do their jobs. At least five of their co-workers passed away from Covid-19.
